Develo has marketed the LISA3, a revolutionary 3D measuring device which includes a laser scanner that can calculate coordinates of over several tens of thousands of points per second, a motion sensor which constantly extracts directional positional information, and a GPS which calculates its absolute position.
Develo's original motion sensor enables high speed, 3D absolute positioning just by setting it inside a transportation system when you go for a ride.
This epoch-making measurement method allows measuring by workers on high altitudes and by using such transportation systems as cars, airplanes, ships and cranes at construction sites.
The compact unit, which weights only 25kg, can be used in various situations depending on purposes; at times in cars, in helicopters or in various other transports.
Conventional terrestrial laser scanners are used for relative positioning and take a lot of time and effort to figure out absolute coordinates. The LISA3 allows everyone to easily retrieve absolute coordinates from a wide range of places.
