New Cosmos Electric

Previously, it was a time consuming process for an environmental engineer to determine the odor level because it was not possible to display the level in parts per million (ppm) or as a percentage. In 1988, New Cosmos Electric first developed its proprietary odor level indicator, and since then the company has added a number of innovative features. Set for release on September 10, the XP-329IIIR odor level indicator features an automatic sensor control function that monitors sensors that are susceptible to changes in the environment. Cosmos’ proprietary sensor determines the value of the odor molecules using an electric current. When the odor molecules adhere to the surface of the sensor, electrical conductivity improves, decreasing electrical resistance. The sensor then determines the electrical resistance. A bar graph indicates whether or not there is a need for maintenance. It is also possible to download an odor index conversion table from the New Cosmos website to facilitate quick calculation of the odor level regardless of time or location.
