At JISSO Production Technology Exhibition 2008, Panasonic Factory Solutions exhibited the CM602-L CM+PLUS ver., an enhanced modular high-speed placement machine. The CM+PLUS ver. has a compact foot-print due to the reduced size of the cartridge. The new design’s depth was reduced by 200mm. This improves on the productivity per surface area in a facility by 17%. Also, mount time has been reduced which resulted in an 8% improvement in productivity when compared with the conventional models.
