Nippon S.T. Johnson exhibited the Texture Analyzer CT3 at the 2008 Scientific Instruments Show in Tokyo. The CT3 Texture Analyzer is a testing device developed by the American firm Brookfield Engineering that is used primarily to provide numeric data on food texture characteristics such as firmness, crunchiness, and palatability and to evaluate quality based on changes in food hardness. In America, many of these devices are used to measure the hardness and softness of tofu and surimi fish paste, and now as the distributor in Japan, Nippon S.T. Johnson intends to expand sales of the new texture analyzer by promoting it to domestic food and adhesive manufacturers.
