During the 2009 Photo Imaging Expo, Casio Computer exhibited the new EXILIM EX-Z400 compact digital camera, which was developed based on a concept of creating entirely new market value.
The "Dynamic Photo" function in which the subject can move within a single photo provides an entirely new way to enjoy graphic images and changes the conventional concept of "photographs". With the high speed image processing of the new engine, the main subject in an image that has been captured can be cut out and then combined with another still image to form the background, and with the adoption of this new function, photographers can now use the digital camera to create images in which only the subject is moving without having to edit the images on a computer.
In addition to the EX-Z400, Casio developed three other models for the Zoom Exilim series. The company also set up a special website to demonstrate and promote the Dynamic Photo function.
