Honda exhibited the new model VTR, a 250cc naked road sportbike model that went on sale March 6th, at the 2009 Tokyo Motorcycle Show.
A new PGM-FI system was adopted in the VTR's liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, V-type, 2-cylinder engine to improve environmental performance and supply the proper amount of fuel based on the various riding conditions, and as a result, the bike can provide linear throttle response and a smoother ride. This change also improved startability when cold.
The styling was updated to a sportier design with more refined exterior parts while maintaining the truss-style frame that is characteristic of the VTR. The new model also features a newly designed fuel tank, as well as other new features from the newly adopted side covers to the area around the rear cowl, and each part is sharply fit into a compact body design.
Two variations of the new model VTR are available including the STYLE I and STYLE II variations, and the bike is also available in abundant color variations with a total of 5 colors. The STYLE I variation is priced at 556,500 yen and the STYLE II variation is priced at 567,000 yen.
