Attore CB500, a compact bath for people confined to their beds

-
At the International Modern Hospital Show 2009, Amano exhibited a compact bath for people who are confined to their bed, called the Attore CB500. The Attore enables people to take a bath while lying down. It was designed from the viewpoint of both caregivers and patients. A stretcher docks with the bathtub, so people can smoothly slide into the bath. The bathtub can be raised with one touch, so people can take a bath while lying down. This makes life much easier for caregivers. The bathtub is compact, measuring 210 cm by 90 cm. This makes bathing easy even in a small bathroom. Also, docking between the stretcher and bathtub is achieved through a simple, reliable mechanism. When the two are aligned within 10 cm on either side of the docking position, they are guided together and fastened firmly. So there’s no burden on the caregiver. The mat on the stretcher is made of a special soft material. Also, the stretcher surface slopes inward, so users dry off faster after bathing. The Attore CB500 was released in July 2009.
