Fujitsu and Kajiro Watanabe, President of Sensing Control Lab, have co-developed sensing technology that accurately measures the 3D body motion of a person carrying a mobile phone.
As a service using this technology, ETGA Swing Lesson was exhibited at CEATEC JAPAN 2009. This mobile phone application was developed under the supervision of pro golfer Tadashi Ezure. It enables people to check their golf swing using their mobile phone.
To use ETGA Swing Lesson, the phone is placed in a carrying case and attached to the user’s lower back. Then, the phone automatically determines and measures the state of the swing. Afterwards, the user can follow guidance provided by touch-panel to display the measurements, along with advice.
After the diagnosis, the user can get simple, clear advice for each swing measured. So it’s like having a comprehensive swing lesson directly from a professional golfer.
