At AOU2010 Amusement Expo, Sega exhibited Heat-Up Hockey Image.
In this game, the graphics are projected onto the entire air hockey field, and lots of effects are utilized. There are also a variety of features, using 80 rebound sensors on both sides of the field.
Each goal front has eight guard blocks to assist defense. The state of each block is displayed in front of the goal, so players can check each side’s blocks. The blocks can also be used to set handicaps.
In addition, a variety of events can be initiated by placing the puck over the target icons that occasionally appear. These include a point bonus stage, silhouette stage, and dummy puck stage.
Heat-Up Hockey Image will debut in late March 2010.
