At AOU2010 Amusement Expo, Konami exhibited GuitarFreaksXG and DrumManiaXG, the latest titles in its Bemani series.
GuitarFreaks now has eight speakers and two sub-woofers, so players can experience a realistic audio system as well as a high-quality performing experience.
The GuitarFreaksXG game is played by using the guitar-shaped controller in time with the rhythm. In the new version, the guitar controller has five neck buttons instead of the previous three, enabling players to move the guitar up, down, left, and right as they perform.
DrumManiaXG, as the name suggests, is a drum performance game. This new title has a left cymbal, floor tom, and left pedal. With its seven pads and two pedals, this game offers a wider range of play. The stage now has a bass shaker, so the player can feel the dynamic vibration through the chair, making the game feel more like a real drum performance.
GuitarFreaksXG and DrumManiaXG will both be released in March 2010. These new versions also enable guitar and drum sessions.
