A seminar to introduce the Panasonic AVCCAM professional video camera and the EDIUS nonlinear video editing software from Thomson Canopus was held at Thomson Canopus’ Tokyo headquarters in Nihonbashi. The seminar was sponsored by Fujiya Avic, a retailer that specializes in professional video and audio equipment.
“EDIUS NEO2 Booster” was announced at the 2009 InterBEE show and inherits the basic functions and performance of “EDIUS Pro”, which is already being used by broadcast stations worldwide. However, the new version also makes it simple and easy to edit top level, high definition images. The “EDIUS NEO2 Booster” also features the newly developed AVCHD codec engine, and with this engine, video can be smoothly edited in the original image quality without any loss of resolution or frame rate.
Sales of the “EDIUS NEO2 Booster” software began November 2009, and the new software package will be bundled and sold with the Panasonic AVCCAM until the end of September 2010.
