At PV Expo 2010, Ambientech exhibited mobile solar charging systems called SolarFold and SolarFan.
Both products feature a folding design, so they can be easily carried anywhere.
SolarFold opens up like a folding screen, and SolarFan opens up like a fan.
These are the world's first mobile solar charging systems to utilize light-gathering spherical solar cells.
The cells charge mobile devices via a USB charger. In the case of a mobile phone, a ten-minute charge enables a three-minute call.
SolarFold and SolarFan are sold as packages that include a carrying case and USB charger. SolarFan also comes with a special-purpose tripod.
The packages cost 22,050 yen including tax. They were released on March 4, 2010.
