At the Cloud Computing Expo, Forum 8 presented UC-win/Road for SaaS, which implements an interactive, real-time VR (virtual reality) system in a cloud environment.
UC-win/Road for SaaS runs UC-win/Road on a server using the usual SaaS framework. On the cloud side, Flash is used to enable remote operation in a browser.
The latest example of how UC-win/Road can be used is the Ohashi Junction on the Tokyo freeway. UC-win/Road has been used to create a 3D model of the Ohashi Junction, and the results of tests with a driving simulator have been utilized to consider optimal road signs and illumination for the junction.
The price for UC-win/Road Ver.4 Ultimate, which includes UC-win/Road and all plug-in options, is 1,500,000 yen. UC-win/Road for SaaS only is priced at 300,000 yen.
