At Wireless Technology Park 2010, NTT Docomo presented its latest initiatives regarding LTE, which is scheduled to start service this year.Engineering sample chips for the LTE platform were on display, and in a virtual demo of LTE, speeds of 60-70 Mbps were achieved in the 2 GHz band, which is close to that used in the actual service.NTT DoCoMo intends to provide an LTE data service during 2010, and then extend the service to include voice handsets as well.
