At the International Stationery and Office Products Fair, Boku-Undo, a long-established maker of traditional calligraphy products, presented the Pop Corn Finger Brush. The Finger Brush is used by slipping it over the fingertip, as opposed to having to actively hold it in your hand.
A feature of the Finger Brush is that you can move it freely and intuitively, as if drawing on a steamed-up window with your finger.
"This product is an extension of the way children paint with their fingers. Although people have five fingers, we don't use them all at once. We hold calligraphy brushes and pencils using just one or two fingers. But if writing implements are placed on the fingertips, we can use all five fingers, separately or together."
The Finger Brush becomes part of the finger, so no effort is needed to hold it. As a result, the Finger Brush can be used by everyone, including children, seniors, and people with disabilities.
The Finger Brush is already on sale and is available in three tip sizes, priced from 600 to 800 yen.
