“Real Love Doll” – Silicone Body Straight From The Uncanny Valley

Since 1977, Orient Industry have been developing their series of Real Love Dolls in Ueno.

The dolls are widely divided into three types. The first type has a cloth body that is light, weighing 4 kg. The second type has a soft plastic body with detachable parts such as arms and legs. The third type has a silicone body that features a realistic skin material.

The Real Love Doll Ange, which is made of a uniquely developed silicone material, has no seams in its body and its internal bone structure uses the new Titan Frame 2 that enables joint movement and the ability to be upright, both of which have previously been considered difficult to achieve.

The doll is 157 cm tall and weighs 25 kg, which is about 10 kg lighter than the silicone doll developed by Orient in 2001. This improvement makes it easier to handle for seniors and people with physical disabilities.

Users can select from among 10 head types and 35 hair types. Bust size, hair color, and hair amount can also be chosen.

Also available as an option are movable pupils and fingers, making the doll capable of complex poses.

Although love dolls have until now been only regarded as a sexual aid, in response to requests from users, improvements have been made to make them more human-like, leading to an increase in recent years of purchases by users seeking healing or emotional comfort.

Orient is currently continuing to develop its dolls to make them even more human-like in the future.

The cloth doll is priced at 94,000 yen, the soft plastic doll is between 200,000 and 300,000 yen, and the silicone doll is between 500,000 and 700,000 yen.
